| With most makers abandoning smaller and more maneuverable minivans for stretch versions, the MPV stands out by retaining its smaller size. Remaining among the smaller minivans, however, does not mean that it is short of features. The MPV offers such thoughtful additions as roll-down windows in the sliding back doors, a fold-and-tumble three-passenger rear seat that forms a flat floor when not needed and second row bucket seats that can also form a bench seat. Acceleration from the only engine available, a 3.0-liter V-6 is tepid. Ride is family friendly, while the handling takes full advantage of the trim exterior dimensions. Passenger room fails to measure up to larger competitors, but should suffice. The front seats may not please taller adults, however. The third row seat can be flipped for tailgate party seating. Cargo capacity reflects the smaller dimensions. It is good, but not overwhelming. Conclusion: A very nice minivan that is noticeably easier to drive in tight quarters than its larger competitors. |
